Before installation
1. When painting the wall, use non-corrosive and non-melting waterproof materials to cover the wooden door to prevent the paint from adhering to the surface of the product, causing peeling and fading, which will affect the overall appearance.
2. Before installing the wooden door, it must be placed horizontally on the ground (the stacking height should not exceed 1 meter). Do not lean it against the ground to avoid deformation.
3. Try to avoid long-term exposure to outdoor sunlight to prevent the wooden door from being heated.
4. Place it in a dry room and keep the indoor air circulating to prevent the wooden door from being damp.
5. Prevent the wooden door from being hit abnormally or contacting corrosive substances.
6. Before installation, the door opening must undergo necessary moisture-proof and anti-corrosion treatment [2].
After installation
1. Under normal circumstances, the door leaf should be kept closed.
2. The door body should be kept away from direct sunlight or exposure to the sun for a long time.
3. When moving things, be careful to avoid sharp objects colliding with the door body to avoid scratching the surface.
4. If the humidity and temperature of the environment on both sides of the door body are very different, the door leaf should be kept open to avoid deformation of the door body due to uneven humidity and temperature on both sides.
5. When using wooden doors, do not hang heavy objects on the door leaf or step on it.
6. When turning the handle to open the door lock, do not use excessive force to avoid shortening the service life of the lock due to improper use.
7. During use, if the hinges, door locks, etc. become loose, tighten them immediately. If the hinges make noises when opening and closing, add oil.
8. After testing the water on the door leaf, wipe it clean with a dry cloth immediately.
9. If there are stains on the door surface, wipe it with a soft cloth. Using professional wood product maintenance liquid can extend the service life of wooden doors [2].
Maintenance
1. In spring, autumn and winter, pay attention to good indoor ventilation and maintain indoor humidity. Keep the wooden door at normal room temperature and humidity to prevent the wooden door from deforming, cracking, metal accessories from rusting, edge sealing, and wooden door finishing materials from falling off due to humidity and temperature differences.
2. Do not often open wooden doors with hands that are soaked in water or other liquids to avoid discoloration of the door lock. When opening a wooden door or turning the door lock handle, do not use excessive force, which will reduce the service life of the wooden door lock. Hinges, door locks and other frequently moving hardware accessories should be tightened immediately if they become loose. When the wooden door lock does not open properly, you can add an appropriate amount of pencil lead to the keyhole.
3. The indoor temperature in winter should not be too high (it is better to keep it at around 20 degrees). When using electric heaters or other heating equipment, stay away from wooden doors to avoid heat deformation.
4. When painting the walls, cover the wooden doors to prevent the paint from being on the surface of the product, affecting the quality and appearance of the wooden doors.
5. Do not rub the corners of the wooden doors frequently to avoid fading and damage to the finishing materials at the corners.
6. When removing stains on the surface of the wooden door, you can use breath to wet it and then wipe it with a soft cloth. It is easy to scratch the surface with a hard cloth. If the stains are too heavy, you can use a neutral detergent, toothpaste or a special furniture detergent. After decontamination, wipe it clean immediately.
7. To maintain the gloss and service life of the wooden door surface, it should be cleaned and dusted regularly. A special curing liquid can be used to maintain the surface.
8. When removing dust from the wooden door, if it is inconvenient to wipe it with a soft cotton cloth, a vacuum cleaner can be used to remove it.
9. Be careful not to leave a cloth soaked in neutral reagents or water on the surface of the wooden door for a long time, otherwise it will damage the surface and cause the finishing material to discolor or peel off.
10. When using wooden doors, do not hang heavy objects on the door leaf or avoid sharp objects from knocking or scratching it. When opening or closing the door leaf, do not use excessive force or open it at too large an angle [2].
